I have both Citi and UOB's Debit Card. Do I need to cancel my Citi Debit Card?

No, you are not required to cancel your Citi Debit Card. You can continue to use both your UOB and Citi Debit Cards for the time being.
As a Citi customer, can I walk into a UOB branch to do banking?

No, you are not able to perform banking transaction on your Citi accounts at UOB branches as both banks' systems are not integrated yet. Once your accounts are migrated to UOB platform upon migration, you will only be able to transact at any UOB branches. We will update you on the actual migration date in due course.
As a Citigold customer, will my Citi ATM machines daily withdrawal limit of THB 200,000 remain unchanged?

Yes, your daily ATM withdrawal limit remains unchanged (THB 200,000/day) until further notice. Rest assured that you will be notified in advance prior to any changes being made.
Will there be changes to the name and privileges of the different deposit accounts I hold?

There is no immediate change to the names and privileges of the different deposits accounts you hold. Rest assured that you will be notified in advance prior to any changes being made.
Where can I get more information on foreign currency deposits (FCD)?

Currently all the features of your foreign currency deposit accounts remain unchanged. Once your accounts are migrated to UOB, UOB account details will apply. You may find more information on UOB website.
Will there be changes to direct debit instructions linked to my account?

Currently there is no change to your direct debit instructions on Citibank accounts. Upon migration, some of your existing instructions may be cancelled. Rest assured that you will be notified in advance prior to any changes being made.
After the migration, will I need to submit consent documents with regards to direct debit services once again?

For the direct debit instructions that are cancelled after migration, you will need to set up the instructions with the counterparty again.
How can I request confirmation letter or reference letter for banking with UOB?

For Citi-branded accounts, you may request for confirmation letter or reference letter at any of Citi's former branches (Interchange 21, The Crystal, and CentralWorld 2), or contact your relationship manager. For UOB branded accounts, you may request for confirmation letter or reference letter at any UOB Branches.
Fee, Interest and Rate
Is there a cash withdrawal fee when I use my Citi Debit Card to withdraw money at a UOB ATM?

Within Thailand: Currently you can use your Citi Debit Card to withdraw cash at any ATM, including UOB ATMs, in Thailand free of charge.

Outside Thailand:
  • At Citi ATMs overseas - no charge.
  • At UOB ATMs overseas - there may be a fee charged which you may contact the bank (CitiPhone Banking 1588 or former Citi branches or your relationship manager) for a fee refund.
  • At other ATMs overseas - there will be a fee.

As a Citigold customer, will I still enjoy a fee waiver for outgoing telegraphic transfers via former Citi branches?

Can I continue to issue Citibank retail cheques, and will they be cleared as usual?

The Bank stopped issuing Citibank chequebooks since 3 January 2023 and the last day or cheque clearing for Citibank personal cheques was 29 June 2023. You are invited to apply for UOB current accounts and chequebooks at any UOB branch.
If I have leftover Citibank cheque books, will I be able to switch them to UOB cheque books?

No, you will not be able to switch leftover Citibank cheque books to UOB cheque books. The Bank stopped issuing Citibank chequebooks since 3 January 2023 and the last day or cheque clearing for Citibank personal cheques was 29 June 2023. You are invited to apply for UOB current accounts and chequebooks at any UOB branch.

Can I open UOB Deposit accounts at former Citi branches?

No, you are not able to open UOB accounts at former Citi branches, as the banks' systems are not integrated yet. Should you wish to open a UOB Deposit account prior to the migration date, please visit UOB branches. For Citigold/Citi Priority customers, please contact your Relationship Manager should you be interested in opening UOB Deposit accounts.

What happens to my foreign currency accounts?

Your foreign currency accounts are still available in all currencies. UOB offers all of the foreign currencies currently offered by Citi. However, foreign currency banknote services have been - discontinued since 18 October 2022.
What happens to foreign exchange services?

eFX (online foreign exchange on Citi Mobile® Application and Citibank Online) and foreign exchange via branch will continue to be available until further notice of any changes by UOB.
What happens to Citi Global Wallet?

Citi Global Wallet, which allows you to spend online and overseas in foreign currencies through your debit card, will continue to be available until further notice by UOB.

What happens to foreign currency banknote services?

Foreign currency banknote services have been discontinued since 18 October 2022. You may withdraw funds in Thai baht or make transfers in and out of your accounts through telegraphic transfer (SWIFT) service. For more information, please visit https://citi.asia/ThMsED9
Will there be any impact to my foreign currency savings account(s) held with Citibank Thailand?

No, there is no impact to your foreign currency savings account(s). Only foreign currency banknote deposit and withdrawal service is discontinued.
Is there any impact to Thai baht banknote services?

No. Thai baht banknote deposit and withdrawal services will remain available.
International Remittance
Can I still transfer money to other countries?

Yes. You are able to make overseas transfers via telegraphic transfers (SWIFT) through branch and online channels in the same manner as before until further notice by UOB. The service is currently available in 13 currencies (AUD, CAD, CHF, DKK, EUR, GBP, HKD, JPY, NOK, NZD, SEK, SGD, USD). For incoming SWIFT transfers, the SWIFT code and your account number remains unchanged until further notice by UOB.
How do I make a telegraphic transfer to an overseas destination or another bank in Thailand? What are the fees?

No. Your existing overseas funds transfer payees are still available. You may choose to transfer to your payees using one of the 13 available currencies.
CDM
If the cardless deposit function at CDMs is discontinued, what are the alternative ways for me to make a deposit into Citibank account(s) or make payment for Citi Credit Card account(s)?

You can make a deposit into Citibank account(s) or credit card(s) via CDMs by inserting your Citi Debit Card or Citi Credit Card along with your ATM pin. The recommended method is to make a transfer via online channels such as mobile banking applications.

Additionally, if you wish to make a bill payment for Citi Credit Card(s), you may do so via Citi Mobile® Application or Citibank Online. For more information on Citi Credit Card payment methods, please click here.
If I do not have an ATM pin, how can I deposit cash into Citibank account(s) or credit card(s) via Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs)?
