  • Personal Accident insurance (PA) Type 2 entitlements and extended coverage for driver and passenger of motorcycle. The coverage is due to loss of life, dismemberment, loss of sight, loss of speech, loss of hearing or total permanent disability from murder and assault, but not covering medical expenses.

Conditions for UOB Secure Savings Account
  1. Open an account with a minimum of 1,000 baht.
  2. The account holder receives personal accident insurance coverage according to the policy terms as follows.
    • The account holder must have a deposit balance of at least 3,000 baht one day prior to the accident date.
    • The account holder will be covered in the amount of 20 times of the deposit balance one day before the accident date, maximum coverage of 10 million baht per person, regardless of the number of UOB Secure accounts held.
    • The account holder who is over 70 years old at the account opening date will receive compensation 70% of the coverage amount but not exceeding 7,000,000 baht per person.
    • The account holder may specify the beneficiary's name in the account opening form.
  3. Earn the deposit interest at the end of June and December.
  4. Deposit interest rates and terms are as announced by the Bank.
  5. This deposit is protected by the Deposit Protection Agency in the amount stipulated by law.
  6. The value of insurance premiums is equivalent to the interest rate that increases approximately 0.05% per year as of 1 August 2024.
  7. The bank reserves the right to cancel or change a benefit with prior notice before changing.
  8. The Bank pays insurance premiums. The account holder is the insured person. For accident coverage, the account holder has the right to designate a third party or the account holder as the beneficiary. This coverage is under the group non-life insurance policy, UOB Secure Savings account. Thaivivat Insurance Public Company Limited takes responsibility under the terms of coverage and benefits according to conditions.
  9. If the account holder has more than one UOB Secure Savings account, the amount of accident coverage will be calculated from the accounts with a deposit balance more than 3,000 baht combined. The maximum coverage amount will not exceed 10 million baht per person.
  10. For opening a joint account more than one account holder and not specifying the beneficiaries’ proportion to be received, the personal accident coverage will be calculated from the account with a deposit balance more than 3,000 baht divided by the numbers of joint account holders. Each person will be compensated in the amount of 20 times the proportion of each person calculated from division by the number of joint deposit account holders against the coverage amount, but not more than 10 million baht per account, regardless of the number of joint account holders.
  11. Claim for compensation is filing at the account opening branch by preparing the claim documents. (Please check documents for claiming and details of the coverage terms.)
  12. About the deposit account that has been inactive for more than 1 year and having a deposit balance of less than 5,000 baht, the Bank will charge 100 baht/month per 1 account for account maintenance according to the bank’s announcement on 1 July 2024 Please review various fees related to deposits from the Bank's website by clicking or notice posted at every bank’s branches.
