UOB launches Biz 3D programme for small businesses in Thailand
United Overseas Bank (Thai) PCL. today announced it would strengthen its support for small businesses[1] with a new loan programme called UOB Biz 3D.
The programme is in anticipation of the greater need for financing by small businesses. With rising domestic private consumption and growing intra-regional trade, small businesses will be looking for expansion opportunities locally and in the region.
The UOB Biz 3D programme will also help small businesses cope with the higher cost of doing business as a result of an increase in the minimum wage since 2012.
Ms. Sayumrat Maranate, Executive Director of Business Banking, UOB (Thai), said, “To help small businesses take advantage of local and regional growth opportunities, as well as cope with rising costs in a competitive environment, we have set aside funds under a new loan programme for Thai small businesses.
“The funds will be used to help small businesses fulfill their business ambitions, meet their working capital needs and improve productivity.”
UOB Biz 3D offers an increase in the credit limit for small businesses. Companies which qualify can receive a loan of up to three times the collateral value or up to 20 million Baht, whichever is higher. Typically, small businesses can only qualify for a maximum loan amount that is not more than the collateral value.
Small businesses can use the loan for various business purposes, from expansion and capital investment to working capital and risk management.
Interested businesses may contact UOB branches nationwide or call UOB Biz Call Centre at 0-2343-3555 to apply.
