UOB Group organized UOB Heartbeat Run/ Walk Nationwide to Raise Funds for Children
Mr. Kim Choong Wong, President & CEO (far right with thumb-up) of United Overseas Bank (Thai) Public Company Limited, presided over the ceremony to launch “UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk”. More than 1,000 executives and employees of the bank participated in the event. This charity event was organized to raise funds and donations from the bank and the bank’s staff to buy art materials for underprivileged talented youth. This will also give them an opportunity to submit their works to participate in “The 3rd UOB Painting of the Year Competition.”, the regional contest of UOB Group which will be held soon.
“UOB Heartbeat Run/Walk” is one of UOB Group’s annual charity event. This year is the first time that the activities have been held concurrently in five countries across the region namely Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and China. More than in total 10,000 staff members have participated in the events to raise funds for underprivileged children. The project has raised in total 830,000 Singaporean dollars or 20 million Thai baht.
